Very powerful image. My eye was naturally drawn to the two chicks walking towards you to the right, but then I noticed the frail-looking lady to the left begging. This is one aspect of Manhattan life that always got to me: So much financial power and glitz expressed through the impressive structures, and the eyes full of haughtiness or egocentric concern against against the mostly ignored miserable poor. I don't know of a city yet where such contrasts become so striking and powerful as New York. You caught that so well here.
The lady begging over there has a totally different reality than Luis', mine or yours so it's not worthy to compare her with the chicks having a walk. The gipsy lady itself it's just a part of any picture caught in big cities of the world. She doesn't need a job even if you would have offered it to her - how's that?
I like very much your photos which I find full of feelings, very brilliant, meaning and very well composed. Bravo ! For me who comes from Lyon in France, I find very exciting to be able to open to the persons of the whole world who share the same passion as me: the photo. I shall return !
I went to the USA this summer (Los Angeles, San Francisco...)... it was a great moment for me, my wife and my friends !
