Looks like you`ve learnt a new way of seeing by using that x-pan. Someone mentioned Wim Wenders, and I don`t think it looks like your`re trying to copy his style, but I think that a format like this can confuse the person that looks at the photograph, and grabs its attention. And if it is an interesting photograph- (like most of yours are ;) then they`re not that easy to forget either...

thanks Alfred, the X-Pan makes me see differently indeed - here's what I put up on flickr before:

previously I have used a Horizon 202 with a 28mm swivel lens, but never got in a comfortable position using it in the streets - the main problem was the fix-focus at infinity.

With the XPan I feel very comfortable, even though a 45mm lens is a bit tight for my taste and I have to adjust my way of shooting... the 45 can feel a bit claustrophobic in certain situations, even though it is as wide as a 24mm... The more static feel comes mostlikely from the distance that my regular 35mm or 28mm images don't have.

A good thing about the wide format is that I naturally use the viewfinder, which I often neglect with the 3:2 format. The unusal aspect ratio of the Xpan is somewhat challenging, since there is much more stuff to watch for horizontally.

Other than that it handles pretty much like any other rangefinder camera, coming from a Leica M I felt at home right away. The XPan's build quality is extremely good.

Mind you, I'm using this camera since 3 days (3 weeks since I wrote this)only, but I'm in love already... at some point I'll have to find the $$ for the 30mm...
