Many people asked me about a street photography forum… I think fora are too tedious to maintain, too time-consuming to administer and maybe the streetphoto watercooler microblog may be the right thing to do… feel free to sign up, get a gravatar and fire away with questions, links, your photographs, or whatever is on your mind. please keep your posts (street) photography related and tag accordingly… thanks & enjoy!

This is a fantastic image and multi-person portrait. It has depth and layers.
And a ferris wheel.
Really special, this one.

I also like the inclusion of the Ferris wheel in the frame, giving it a theme park/fun feel.

Love this shot Markus. In one sense, it looks like you've stumbled across something you shouldn't have seen and this gang have rumbled you!

Beautiful face expressions created by the lights and processing. Love it!

Street photo as it should be.
All these "tough guys" and they lose all their "toughness" with that old guy in the frame.
Awesome catch!
BTW, I twittered a link to your photo :)

Another winner! Love the oversized eyeglasses. This photo begs the question: Are any of these people having fun? Robert Frank would put his seal of approval on this one.
Keep the Coney Island shots coming!

Just was wondering about the legalities of posting street photos? Thought you might know? I also really love this kind of photography but was advised by my photog peers that I would need a release from the people in them in order to post them (if the faces were recognizable)....what's the rule on that?
