    Your shots, perhaps because they’re in black and white, are timeless. Some of the puzzle pieces may tell you the era (the bus is obviously not the same buses we had in New York in the 1970′s), but most of your shots may have occurred at any time in the last 50 years. I look forward to seeing these — you do great work. Your work reminds me of a gritty Helen Levitt. Really awesome stuff.

    I’m getting antsy for a new pic, but I did want to comment on this one.
    To me, the dichotomy of the image is that upon my first view, I feel a sense of isolation in regard to the woman standing in front of the stark wall, which looks as if it’s been defaced. That white wall draws the eye to that area and her lone figure stands out against it.
    However, after the third time stopping by to see what is new, I finally looked to the left and see that there is quite a bit of activity taking place and the woman is not alone at all. The bus, people walking by, someone entering what looks to be a store…..it all escaped me initially.
    So it’s as if the left part of the picture is bustling and yet the right side looks like a solitary figure. Very interesting to study.

    Lines and form make the picture a good one, I agree there is a sense of isolation with the girl, she views the activity on the street as if looking at it through a tv set, that creates the isolation. I love how lines within a photo can create inner frames.
