Jimmy rigged Leica M Typ 240 handgrip

Grips for the M240 are not available yet and the thumbs up is not an option for me, as I’m using the hotshoe for a flash/wireless trigger all the time… it struck me, that the film M has a center tripod mount as well and that the hand grip may fit with a few modifications… well, it’s not perfect, but it works. I opened the grip’s casing and removed the tripod socket, drilled a bigger hole for the thumb screw, removed the M(6) rim, and epoxy-glued a washer on the inside as a spacer for the repositioned thumb screw. voila, Leica M Typ 240 hand grip!
