The man to the left seemed distracting at first, but now I realize that to me, he`s the one that makes the entire photograph so strong. Very good, Markus!
I am tempted to ask how you do it, but I guess I just did.
right now I'm using this smallish Ricoh GR-D w/ a 28mm equivalent lens. Basically I walk up to them and stick the camera in their face from chest level. Usually they won't notice or they look at the camera and ask themselves wtf!? I never got confronted though.

I like the subconscious and unspoken contrasts of human acceptances and beliefs. Beneath the outward appearances of both men, there is for me a nature of conformity (or lack of conformity) that is visual and questioning.
I feel intuitively as if there is something missing from the image, a third person perhaps?
This is brilliant. The Jewish man is great enough--serious and lost in thought. The eye goes to the beard, then finds that striped line of the construction scaffolding and follows it down where it finds the worker--a great surprise and contrast. Great capture.
Excellent, excellent shot. I just discovered your site, it's almost three in the morning and I can't stop looking at your photos.
The Ricoh are fantastic small cameras, I also have got one, very good but noiser than yours.

That's pretty funny, and a bit disorienting. Beautiful tones, too.

I am tempted to ask how you do it, but I guess I just did. Certainly awesome, in-your-face photography. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

yeh, GR-D - usually I'd crop to 2:3 but in this case that'd be too tight
