Ive been following your blog for a while and have been intrigued by your photos! I have one quick post processing question... do you lose shadow info in the blacks and blow out high lights?

What optics do you use?

@Franco... I try to keep the range as wide as possible and keep a tiny bit of shadow detail where crucial, but let the darkest parts go to 0, same for the highlights, white is supposed to be white i.e. 255, where I try to avoid large white areas.

Looks like the conversation they are having is interesting.

What is the man in the apron hawking? It looks as if he's wearing ear buds and has a jar for donations or money, but outside of those clues, I can't figure out what he's got going on.

Jennifer, as always you're very close with your guess. the guy with the donation jar is yelling "help the homeless"... as far as I know, the guys are homeless themselves and get to keep some of the proceeds.
