She looks sincere and breaks from the usual indigent or drug addict I am used to seeing on the street of New York. This image is also frightening: just to think of the numbers who may begin to face this reality themselves as "recovery" on Wall Street fails to translate to jobs and tangible business growth on Main Street.

Excellent photo. Even the dog knows they're broke. Love the repeated circles in the window, and the paper cup on the ground.

I am noticing more and more beggers on the streets of London, the despair on their faces is heart breaking. Nice photo
