Funny that in a city like New York there would be anything interesting enough to keep from looking onward or --as most tourist do-- upward. But wait a minute, it seems like the guy is gracefully teaching the other two how to gracefully stomp on a whopper of a city roach.
Great image. Been a while since I visited your site. Refreshing to see the use of real film and a beauty like the Bessa put to such worthy use.
@Chris - I just felt the need to pick up an R4M and burn a few rolls ;) The whole idea turned into a little nightmare though, since my trusty Minolta Dimage IV film scanner wouldn't work anymore.
So I had go pick up a Nikon 5000, I'll probably shoot a little bit film again - especially with the XPan
Excellent shot. Love the "Pizza my Heart" shirt; the distracted look on the girl in the front; the pensive man with a camera. Wonder what the woman is reaching for in her purse? Lots of unanswered questions - a good thing. Keep those TriX shots coming.
I think that the old man at this time photographed the girl, very much his hands grip and rotate the camera that helps. And you took pictures this time, excellent!
I really love these shots. I really need to hang out downtown in my city to catch shots like this. Do you ever run into any confrontation from snapping the images?

Ack, that must've been a nasty surprise. I like the Nikon scanners quite a bit myself.

It's great not knowing what they are looking at. That's the part of unrevealed mystery we're always looking for when we are looking at pictures...

I like your work. I was just wondering, do you carry model releases with you when shooting street scenes?

thank you! laws here don't require model releases for photographs of strangers in public for artistic purposes or personal work.
