this is excellent

Fabulous. Reminds me of Helen Levitt.

Another great shot Markus!

trés bien vu. chouette ambiance.

Très beau noir et blanc. Une image forte.

The concentration of the subject, perspective and fine b&w all add up to make this a great street shot.

Bob:

Excellent photograph, and one of your best. Love quiet moments like this. Bravo!

Ilan:

Powerful image.
Like Dorothea Lange photos from the depression.

i like it. ..'poignant' or somthing like that. what's your favorite time of year for the light in NYC. right about now?

very pleased to see that the watercooler has a healthy tap-root by now. congratulations.

cheers.

thanks all!

@J7CK1 - spring and fall are my favourite time in the city, the weather is nice and the light is soft. In the summer I can normally only shoot early in the morning (ugh) or late afternoon.

yeah, the watercooler is coming along great! I'll have some great news to post soon... stay tuned!

Very dark atmosphere! I like it!

J7CK1:

for me it's a special type of image given to you by the city 'of your era'. like those m-format negs posted on the watercooler the other week.

You are great photographer and done very tough work amazingly. I just cant imagine the places you have captured. Thank you so much for sharing this gallery and your experience.
