one could call this mini tutorial “how to light a fashion portrait effectively on a budget”? I had two days to photograph about 50 people with one assistant, one camera and a minimal light setup for maximum mobility. I decided to use a Canon EOS 5D with a 16-35mm f2.8 zoom lens and a 430EX flash with a wireless trigger in a 22″ beauty dish. All shot at 35mm, f2.8, ISO100 with a shutter speed ranging from 1/125th to 1/250th, according to ambient lighting conditions.

purchase the equipment from amazon:
Cowboystudio 22″ Beauty Dish
Canon EX430 II flash for Canon EOS cameras
Canon 580EX II for Canon EOS cameras (more powerful than the 430)
PocketWizard MiniTT1 Transmitter and FlexTT5 Transceiver for Canon DSLR
I’m also using the larger PocketWizard Plus III radio trigger transceiver
